The Golden Hour. It’s one of these terms that we often hear, but it’s maybe not as clear, as of what it means. It’s a widly popular moment of the day for photographers and videographers to shoot. But why is that again? 🌅
When is it?
The golden hour starts roughly one hour after sunrise and one hour before sunset.

Characteristics
SOFT The transition from light to dark is gradual, creating soft light that’s very flattering and especially good for portraits.
WARM The low angle of the sun creates an orange glow, that is rather associated with calm and happiness.
DIRECTIONAL Since the sun is low in the sky, it’s easy to create back-lighting, side lighting or front lighting.
