if you’re going to try, go all the way.
otherwise, don’t even start.
if you’re going to try, go all the way.

Roll the Dice – Charles Bukowski
Do you have a Motto?
A motto (derived from the Latin muttum, ‘mutter’, by way of Italian motto, ‘word’, ‘sentence’) is the general motivation or intention of an individual, family, social group or organization.
On my side there’s one who sticked.
Although it’s essential to dismount when you’re riding a dead horse, knowing when to stop or change direction, here’s why I really like this phrase, Go All The Way.
First, I’m a passionate Judoka and it reminds me of this sport.
In Judo, you want to throw your opponent on the back and for this, you need to do your technique at 100%. The whole movement, with speed, strength and control until the end.
Even for a feint. A feint is only effective when the opponent believes in it, when you really want to take him down with the first move, when do it All The Way.
It also reminds me of having only Plan A and simply being consistent and finding a way to make the current plan work.
As well this Quote: “Wie du eine Sache tust, tust du alles im Leben“ – How You Do Anything Is How You Do Everything.
Finally, it makes me think of this poem by Charles Bukowski – Roll the Dice. Which was my inspiration for this Motto.
